These are the fired tiles from last week. Bright, cheerful, and serene.
Happy Fall! I hope you're enjoying the season's color as much as I am. I'm also super excited to be back to normal at the studio. Here are the results of my first glaze firing of just making work for fun. I've lots of drawing to do before ArtWalk, new bird plates, more lamps, and tiles.
New soon to be lamps!
I took a break from the tower project to make a few bird sculptures. But decorating it will begin this weekend. I can't wait to see it finished, with lavender hydrangeas, colorful zinnias, and a cardinal flower vine twisting its way around the column attracting hummingbirds and mythical creatures. I'm enthusiastic about sharing the results with you. With the project and building stock for the Boylan Heights ArtWalk, many pictures will come your way over the next few weeks.

I had a great time making these this week.
