Table Lamps, Commissions, and Nesting

New Morning Gallery kindly sent this picture of my table lamps on display. I love the soft glow and soothing mood; lamp light gives a room. As part of my nighttime routine, I like to turn the bed down and turn on the bedside lamp so when I'm ready to sleep, it's like the bedroom is saying, "Welcome."

I know, the image is blurry, but you can get a feel for the gallery setting at New Morning.

Colorful vases and lamps with poppies, coneflowers, and sunflowers, by Marina Bosetti.

New vases and lamps using an assortment of shino glaze colors from Coyote Glazes. I like these colors, they have a lovely glow about them.

I've done a few firings since the last time I posted, and here's some of the new work you can look forward to seeing at the Boylan Heights ArtWalk, plus my latest fireplace commission.

This fireplace insert is 6” tall by 57” long. The variation in color is coming from the changes in the sunlight and cloud cover.

These hearth tiles were fired several times to achieve this beautiful emerald green.

This Friday is my first knee surgery. I've created my post-op nest. It contains an online class, reading material, tiles and plates that'll be easily decorated in my lap, a machine that will pump cold water around my knee, and a cooler to hold water and snacks so I won't constantly be calling "HUSBAND." I like my autonomy. PT starts on Monday, and I'm determined to be driving and in the studio for classes and Christmas prep in two weeks. That's the goal.
