Experiencing Delight Through Your Eyes

In this season of spiritual, cultural, and natural rebirth, I want to encourage you to notice delight in the everyday. You can find happy surprises almost anywhere. This morning I found joy in the number of slugs seeking refuge in my portulaca plants after last night's rain. That image won't be showing up in my tile work.

My days aren't turned upside down by the virus. I can still go to the studio and make work. With craft fairs canceled I'm enjoying the slower pace and the opportunity to do more detailed work.

I want to urge you to remember this isn't a race and to be exceedingly kind to yourself. Many of us practice gratitude, let's add a practice of delight to it.
