A Red Clay Romance

Once upon a time, there was a girl who enjoyed sewing. Every day she made her clothing after school and dreamed of being a fashion designer. One day she was introduced to pottery and fell in love with clay. Because of that, she attended an exceptional school where she could study both. She spent her life exploring ways of forming and decorating her ceramic work. Until finally, she recognized she could help others bring their hearts to their home with her custom art tiles.

Slab Wall Hangings

This is the work I made in my first studio out of college in the ’80s in Brooklyn, NY. I have been in love with this particular red clay all my life. In 2001 when I started making ceramic tile I went back to using this gorgeous red clay, I’m still using it.

This is the work I made when I first started selling my pottery, while I was living in Beaufort and Asheville, NC.

Installations by Bosetti Art Tile

When I moved to Raleigh, in 2001, I took a year off to develop new work, new glazes, and new images. I went back to my old love, red stoneware clay, and concentrated on creating tiles that reflected my love of art nouveau, color, and nature. I use my skills and talents to help others create the tone of their homes.

I look forward to sharing this romance and journey with you, sharing projects, new work, and occasional pictures of my poodle Gem.
