From Clay to Clicks: Fresh Website, Fresh Faces, and Fresh Savings
I'd like you to meet Sergei, a recent graduate of Appalachian State University's Industrial Design program. The Raleigh homeboy reached out to both me and my studio mate to discuss working with clay. His easy-going personality, jack-of-all-trades credentials, and can-do attitude have had him working for both of us since we met him at the end of August.

For some time, I've known my website needed a refresh—an upgrade from the original Squarespace version to its new dynamic grid layout. And I wanted to update the images. Given my meticulous approach to photo editing and writing, I hired Sergei to handle the formatting while I focused on the editing. Here we are, just a month later, and I'm thrilled to announce the new website is live! I'll be stocking the webstore this week, and I want to celebrate this milestone with a special Shakeout Sale. I'm hoping the sale will encourage you to explore the site and help me catch anything we might have missed.

Starting next Thursday and running through the weekend, enjoy an exclusive 20% off across the entire shop during my Shakeout Sale! It's the perfect opportunity to discover our fresh look, browse photos featuring wonderful customers and students, and bring home some of the earthy, nature-inspired pieces that embody the spirit of North Carolina's flora and fauna. Trust me—you won't want to miss these beautiful pieces that celebrate our state's natural beauty. I've designed the website using Mother Nature's colors: rich clay tones, greens, and blues that evoke a breath of fresh mountain air.
Stella sleeping with her favorite toy.
On the home front of Marina & Stella's Small Adventures, we're navigating a little bump. Stella has a respiratory infection/kennel cough. She's confined to the house and studio because the disease is very contagious to other dogs, so no pubs or socialization trips to the dog park. She's doing better compared to Monday, when her coughing was pretty bad. She sleeps a lot, but enjoys her walks and watching me work in the garden. I'm getting to see little peeps of personality. She no longer sleeps in a ball and has morphed into her true bed hog self. Last night we were playing with a squeaky toy that had two pitches. At the higher pitch, she threw her head back and howled. She sounds magnificent.
Thanks for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to hear what you think about the new website and share more from NC’s rich natural inspiration with you!
