What Will You Be Making?

Several years ago I helped a customer make a mosaic tabletop. When I announced that I would be doing classes again, she contacted me about a new project and shared pictures of her table's transformation.

We spent several Saturdays piecing together a mandala design using art tiles, commercial pieces, and bits of broken dishes creating a table that would seat eight. The surface was lumpy

but we thought that problem could be solved by placing glass over the top. That solution proved cost prohibited and it never was great as a table. Recently, she had the porch wall covered in reclaimed wood. Creating a rustic look and feel, and hung the tabletop much like you'd hang a quilt block. It looks great.

In her next class she'll make two new smaller tabletops, she'll learn a new skill, and we'll both get an afternoon of fun social engagement.
