Tonight Tonight, Symbols of Home Opens at Rebus Works

My show opens tonight, and as excited as I am about how great it looks, I'd like to tell you a bit about the venue, Rebus Works Cafe and Grocery, located at 301-2 Kinsey Street, Raleigh. Opening reception is First Friday, February 2nd, from 6 pm - 8 pm. That’s tonight!

But first, let me introduce my new Walter mugs and my very own coffee blend. The cups feature Sir Walter Raleigh surrounded by dancing bees. The coffee is an Ethiopia Washed/Colombia blend, a light/medium roast, with floral sweetness and notes of lemon. The label features one of my most beautiful art tiles. Coffee that looks great on your counter. Now back to Rebus Works.

In 2003, photographer Shonna Greenwell and printmaker Lee Moore opened Rebus Works, a gallery focused on thought-provoking pieces made of media and artists often overlooked in other Raleigh galleries.
Today, Greenwell upholds the original vision of Rebus Works as a space rooted in the local community, featuring the work of area artists and hosting The Saturday Market, where farmers and crafters show off their wares every weekend.

Off the beaten path, the Rebus Works Cafe is a quiet place to recenter yourself in a busy world, grab some lunch, or share a beer with a friend. There's an unequaled selection of beers and nonalcoholic drinks.

Find the Rancho Gordo heirloom beans collection along with cook books that’ll help you eat healthier. You can also find Zong Sauce at Rebus.

Pick up dinner from a selection of frozen foods from healthy chefs like: Soul Cocina, Homeland Creamery, Raleigh Tamales, and Ladyfingers Gourmet to Go.

Whatever your reason for stopping by, you'll be greeted by a happy face eager to help you.

Rebus is a quiet place to concentrate while enjoying a great cup of coffee.
