Last Firing of the Year

December 1st, 2011 By admin

The last firing before the Open House and ArtWalk is firing away. I’ve tons of running around to do but wanted to share some of the work that’s in the kiln. The back ground is a beautiful amber, the berries are Christmas red, the birds are a crackle cream glaze, and the leaves are deep green glaze that jumps the waxed line I use to keep the glazes separated; that will give the pieces an impressionistic look.

Glazed but not fired tiles of birds.

Lovely!!! This is such a sweet design! You know I love it when you do birds and berries.
